what we believe

ancient faith,
plainly stated.

we're not making this up. these aren't trendy theological positions. this is what the apostles believed, what yeshua taught, and what the earliest church practiced โ€” the way of life god gave from the beginning.

ten affirmations. one body of truth. nothing hidden โ€” come and see.

denomination: the branch ยท pronomian nazarenescripture: berean standard biblefounded: 2026 ยท south augusta, ga
01
elohim ยท god

one God, eternal.

"HEAR, O ISRAEL: THE LORD OUR GOD, THE LORD IS ONE."
deuteronomy 6:4 โ€” the shema

we believe in one God โ€” eternal, holy, good. the creator of the heavens and the earth, the one who set the stars in their courses and called every species into being. he was never made. he has always been. he is for us.

this one God reveals himself as father, son, and holy spirit โ€” one in essence, distinct in person. the father is the source. the son (yeshua) is the word who became flesh. the holy spirit (ruach hakodesh) is the presence of God with his people. one God. three persons. one love.

this isn't a math problem to solve. it's a family to know.

02
yeshua ยท the messiah

jesus is the messiah.

"AND THE WORD BECAME FLESH AND DWELT AMONG US."
john 1:14 โ€” the incarnation

yeshua โ€” that's his name in the language his mother spoke. jesus is the english version of the greek version of his hebrew name. both names belong to the same person. the same lord. the same savior.

he is the messiah promised from genesis to malachi. fully God. fully man. born of mary by the holy spirit. crucified for our sins. risen on the third day. seated at the right hand of the father. coming back.

jesus and yeshua are not competitors here. we use both. naturally. the name your grandmother prayed to and the name his disciples called him โ€” same person.

03
ruach hakodesh ยท holy spirit

the spirit of god.

"YOU WILL RECEIVE POWER WHEN THE HOLY SPIRIT COMES UPON YOU."
acts 1:8 โ€” the promise

the holy spirit โ€” ruach hakodesh, meaning the set-apart breath of God โ€” is fully God. not an energy. not a force. a person. given to every believer who repents and is baptized into yeshua.

the spirit is what makes the want-to real. he convicts us when we drift. he comforts us when we hurt. he teaches us to walk like the messiah. he gifts the body โ€” some teach, some heal, some prophesy, some serve โ€” for the building up of the family.

we welcome the spirit's work here. always.

04
the word

the whole word.

"ALL SCRIPTURE IS GOD-BREATHED AND USEFUL FOR TEACHING."
2 timothy 3:16 โ€” paul's standard

we hold the sixty-six books of the bible โ€” genesis through revelation โ€” as the inspired, authoritative word of God. all of it. equally weighted. equally his.

the tanakh (what the world calls the old testament) is not retired. it is the foundation. yeshua taught from it. paul preached from it. the apostles built the church on it. when paul told timothy "all scripture is God-breathed," the new testament hadn't been written yet โ€” he meant the tanakh.

we read the berean standard bible because we believe scripture should be plainly available to everyone.

05
torah ยท instruction

torah is a love letter.

"DO NOT THINK I HAVE COME TO ABOLISH THE LAW."
matthew 5:17 โ€” yeshua, in his own words

God's instruction โ€” the torah โ€” is one unified body of teaching. not three separate categories that can be picked apart. one torah. still holy. still righteous. still good.

yeshua said it himself: not one letter passes until heaven and earth do. the only category that has been fulfilled is the levitical sacrificial system โ€” yeshua became the lamb, once for all. the priesthood transferred. the blood was finally enough.

but the rest? the sabbath, the feasts, the dietary laws, how we treat the poor, how we love our neighbor? still a love letter. still the way of life. this is the heart of pronomian โ€” pro-torah โ€” and the reason we exist.

06
yeshuah ยท salvation

grace, through faith.

"BY GRACE YOU HAVE BEEN SAVED, THROUGH FAITH."
ephesians 2:8 โ€” paul, plainly

we are saved by grace, through faith, in yeshua the messiah. not by our keeping of the torah. not by works. not by religion. not by who our parents were. not by how good we've been.

the blood of the lamb covers our sin. repent. believe. be baptized by full immersion. receive the holy spirit. you're in.

the torah doesn't save us โ€” it shapes what saved people look like. obedience isn't the door. faith is. but after you walk through, the want-to rises and you start to live differently. that's not legalism. that's love.

07
shabbat ยท the seventh day

the seventh day, set apart.

"THE SABBATH WAS MADE FOR MAN, NOT MAN FOR THE SABBATH."
mark 2:27 โ€” yeshua, defending it

the seventh day was sanctified at creation โ€” before israel existed, before any commandment was given, before there was a single jew on the earth. God blessed it. God set it apart. God called it good.

shabbat (saturday โ€” friday sundown to saturday nightfall) is not a jewish thing. it's the original meeting between God and his people. yeshua kept it. paul kept it. the early church kept it.

we keep it. we rest. we gather. we worship. we eat together at the agape meal. we put down the work and pick up the family.

08
the holy feasts

god's appointed times.

"THESE ARE MY APPOINTED TIMES."
leviticus 23:2 โ€” God claims them

passover. unleavened bread. firstfruits. shavuot (pentecost). trumpets. atonement. sukkot. leviticus 23 lays them out. God calls them "my appointed times" โ€” not jewish customs. his.

the spring feasts have already been fulfilled in yeshua's first coming. he is our passover lamb. he is our firstfruits โ€” risen on the day. he poured out the spirit at shavuot/pentecost. the fall feasts await his return.

we keep them because they tell the story of redemption โ€” past, present, and future. and that story is still being told.

09
biblical diet

what scripture calls food.

"BE HOLY, BECAUSE I AM HOLY."
leviticus 11:44 โ€” the why

God told us what is and isn't food. leviticus 11 is simple: clean and unclean, plainly listed. no pork. no shellfish. animals that chew the cud and have split hooves. fish with fins and scales.

we keep it as written โ€” without the heavy rabbinic fence-laws added centuries later. those are men's traditions. we don't bind ourselves to them.

this isn't about earning anything. it's about honoring the table God set. the body is the temple of the holy spirit. we treat it like one.

10
qahal ยท the gathered

one family, gathered.

"DEVOTED TO THE APOSTLES' TEACHING AND TO FELLOWSHIP."
acts 2:42 โ€” the first church

the church is the called-out family of everyone who confesses yeshua and lives the want-to. not a building. not a denomination. a people.

altared doers is a local expression of that body in south augusta. scattered doers are believers in pronomian nazarene faith without a local congregation, plugged in by livestream and gathered in person twice a year.

one church. one covenant. location is the only variable. nobody walks this path alone.

clearing up the misconceptions

what we're not.

because if we don't say it, somebody else will say it for us. plainly:

01
misconception one

we are not earning salvation.

torah-keeping doesn't make us right with God. faith in yeshua does. we keep the torah because we ARE saved โ€” not so we WILL be. the order matters.

02
misconception two

we are not becoming jewish.

we are not converting to anything ethnic. we are gentiles and jews together, in messiah โ€” walking the way of life God gave from the very beginning, before any nation existed.

03
misconception three

we are not following rabbinic tradition.

the mishnah, the talmud, the oral law โ€” these are the traditions of men. we honor the people they came from. we don't bind ourselves to them. we read scripture as written.

04
misconception four

we are not messianic or hebrew roots.

we honor those movements. but we are something distinct: pronomian nazarene โ€” rooted in the earliest church (acts 24:5), keeping torah as written, confessing yeshua as messiah, inviting everyone to come and see.

now what?

so โ€” come and see.

you've read what we believe. that's the easy part. the harder, better part is showing up โ€” sitting at the table, hearing the word, asking the questions, eating the agape meal, and finding out if this is your family.

saturday morning. 10:00 am. 2750 peach orchard rd. we'll save you a seat.
